Why cracks can't wait
Water in a crack is the whole problem.
Every crack in your pavement is a path for water to get underneath the asphalt. In Central New York, that water freezes, expands, and levers the crack wider: a little seam in the fall becomes a broken edge by spring, and a pothole the year after.
Fill the crack and you cut the cycle off at the source. Hot-rubber crack filling is the cheapest, highest-leverage thing you can do for a paved surface: a small job now that prevents a tear-out later.

How we fill
Chased down its length, filled flush.
A proper crack fill isn't a smear over the top. We route it out, clean it deep, and fill it with hot rubber that bonds to the walls of the crack and flexes with the freeze.

Fill first, then seal
Crack filling and sealcoating go together.
Crack filling and sealcoating are two halves of one job: fill the cracks so water can't get under, then seal the whole surface so it can't get in. Done together, they protect the pavement from top to bottom, and the fresh coat hides the filled cracks under a clean, even black.
If your driveway or lot is due for a reseal, we'll fill and seal in one visit. If it just needs the cracks handled for now, we'll tell you that honestly, with no upsell.

Crack Filling & Sealing FAQs
Straight answers to the questions Central New York property owners ask us most.
Should I fill cracks or repave?
As long as the pavement is structurally sound, filling cracks and sealing is far cheaper than repaving and buys you years. We'll give you an honest assessment, and if it's truly past saving, we'll say so.
What do you fill cracks with?
Hot-applied rubberized crack sealant. It's flowed in hot so it bonds to the walls of the crack and stays flexible through freeze-thaw, instead of a cold filler that pops out in a season.
Can you fill cracks without sealcoating?
Yes. Crack filling is worthwhile on its own; it's the highest-leverage repair for pavement. If a full seal isn't due yet, we'll just handle the cracks.
How long does crack filling take to cure?
Hot rubber sets up quickly, usually ready for traffic within a couple of hours. If we're sealcoating over it, we'll stage the work so everything cures on schedule.
When is the best time to fill cracks?
Before winter, ideally. Sealing cracks in the fall keeps water out through the freeze-thaw season when the damage happens fastest. May through October is the working window in CNY.
